Pulled Pork Pie

#1 Unnroll 1 sheet Pillsbury pie dough crust over a 10” pie plate, bake for 5 minutes in a preheated oven, and remove from oven.
#2 Sautéed 3 cups of sweet onions with Montreal Stake seasoning until caramelized.
#3 Spread 2 cups of caramelized sautéed onions into the pie plate.
#4 Spread 2 cups of your favorite BBQ pulled pork over the caramelized onions.
#5 Place 2 medium size potatoes in zip lock bag (leave bag open) and cook in microwave on high for about 5 minutes until tender. After letting cool, slice approximately 1/4'” thick and layer over the pulled pork.
#6 Sprinkle salt and pepper approximately 1/4 teaspoon of each over the potatoes.
#7 Lay your second sheet of Pillsbury pie dough crust over top and crimp sealed and make five slits about 1 ½ “ long piercing the top pie dough crust.
#8 Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. You might need to cover the edges with foil to keep from burning the edges.

This award winning Pulled Pork Pie recipe sold for $150 at a Church Pie Auction.
